This is for COMMUNITY registration, not SPINNER registration!
We do not register individual spinners, only which community will send spinners for the WT11.
Each community must provide us with a contact person. This person will be in charge of communicating our information to its community. We will communicate by e-mail.
Similar to the WT09, each community must request a number of spots. The minimum number of spots per community is Two (2). The maximum number of spots per community is Eight (8). You must request a number of spots according to the number of world-class (elite) spinners from your community that will participate.
We will try to accommodate every request. The number of total spots available for the tournament is likely to be around 80-100.
Something new to this WT11: when you are submitting your final spinners list (in December 2010 or January 2011), you will need to rank your own spinners. In other words, you must order your spinners from strongest to weakest. For example, if you are sending 8 spinners to the tournament, your list must specify which spinner you consider the #1, #2, #3, #4, etc... #8 of your own community.
In addition, each community must form a judging committee who will judge for the whole competition. The minimum number of members in the judging committee is Two (2).
Send the following information, by e-mail to worldpenspinning@gmail.com or by posting in this thread:
1. Community name and link to your forum
2. Contact person information: name and e-mail
3. Requested number of spots (between 2-8)
4. List of top spinners from your board with video links. (Ideally, you should list more spinners than spots requested)
5. Estimated number of judges your board can provide (minimum 2)
You should register as soon as possible. This is especially important if you are a small board to guarantee your participation. You can update your registration information later on so don't worry about being accurate or complete.
Crash and I will be actively seeking registration from communities, but we don't have contact with every board. So it's important that you register yourself to confirm your presence.
There is no fixed deadline for registration for now.

Tournament information
A detailed rulebook will be available later on, which will be translated in all major languages.
For now, here are the main ideas for the WT11:
1. First round: the first round will be divided into 8 groups. There will be around 8 to 12 spinners per group. The top 4 of each group will advance to the next round. This means 32 spinners in total will advance to the second round. The groups will be selected randomly, but with some restrictions. Each group cannot contain more than 2 spinners from the same community. Furthermore, we will be using the ranking lists from each community to balance the groups.
2. Later rounds: There will be 32 spinners at the start of round 2. From this round onward, the tournament follows a traditional 1vs1 elimination format. From round 1, 8 spinners will have placed as #1 of their group, 8 will have placed as #2 of their group, etc. for #3 and #4. When determining match ups for round 2, we will randomly match #1s against #4s and #2s against #3s.
3. There will be 6 rounds in total. Each round, spinners will have 2 weeks to film. Judging will take 1 week, with the exception of round 1 which can take up to 2 weeks.
4. Judging system has not been determined yet. Judging must consider all aspects of pen spinning and it is the spinner considered best overall which will win each match.
If you have any questions, please ask.
